Got the ally 2 weeks ago but i been thinking about getting the steam deck but im undecided like i dont care about having windows or not but im undecided

What setting do you run on cyberpunk? I get 44.63 FPS on my benchmark on the OLED and average about 3 hours battery. I did do the cryoutilities but I highly doubt that would increase my performance by roughly 50% Default “Steamdeck” setting suck on anything that offered that option I’ve found and usually have to tweak several settings.

-1 for the early pseudo-Gen4 SSD. 5000MB/s is from the early days of slow memory controllers. The Crucial T500 is $30 more for 50% more speed. You gotta read the specs before just clicking on the cheapest drive a website recommends.

Gonna get a legion go soon. I have an LCD Steam deck and I barely touch it. I quickly found out that most games I wanted to play I couldn’t play because they weren’t verified or the anti cheat doesn’t allow me to play it on Steam deck.

Is the OLED SD better than the regular version if I’m not someone that likes playing it docked mode I have an OLED Samsung TV so I’m thinking what would be the point of me getting the OLED SD 🤔🤷‍♂️

just got mine....comfy and they stay put very well...sound isn't nearly as good as my previous sennheisers....and you cannot control volume on the buds themselves, which sennheisers did. I didnt spend as much on these, so i guess i'll get used to it and move on.

I have the honor and chance to have a ps5, xbox series s, switch OLED and gaming pc. For my birthday i have bought recentst a steamdeck lcd 512 gb. And as a dad. I play just on my steamdeck in the train while going to work or in the couch. It is just a amazing device.

This vs video is really weird. Why are we comparing a home console to something we can take out of the house with us and play outside? Its like comparing apples with oranges. You might as well compare pc vs console (which would actually make sense). If you want to handheld ps5 you need a ps portal. If you want a comparison to ps5, you have pc. Not this.

Hey yoyo, Series S where? You talk about PS5 but Series S can run new games as well as old games too. FPS boost in X360 games is a must and PS5 has much worse BC compared to Series S. You can still add emulators to Series S as well and play PS1 and PS2 game on Xbox natively. Also games like Destiny 2 require PS plus to play online while on Xbox they dont. You can get small screen you can add to Series S too and make it sort of portable. For me Steam Deck Oled is a big win but Series S should be always considered.

Steam oled is not Steam 2 it's just oled vr and different in games

The ally needs life support to reach potential. So if you're in the go the deck is the must have. I played diablo 4 on my ally with these config (720p, 15w, 50% brightness, 50% volume, capped to 45 fps) and i only got an hour and 15 mins. I dont have a reason to plug it coz when that happens i'm home with my 4090 rig. I dont have the deck yet but as per reviews looks like ill go down that route. The ally might be for people who wants to always have a power bank with them and those who dont have pc
